On Saturday Jan 29th I was part of the media shooting at The Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge @ Sandy Point State Park benefiting the Maryland Special Olympics. An amazing, incredible, almost indescribable, social event as some 12 thousand people plunged into the Chesapeake Bay to benefit the Special Olympics of Maryland
Local Radio Morning Hosts Amelia & Josh Spiegil , take an early morning plunge in the chilly 33d water of Sandy Point State Park in support of the "Super Plungers" and MD Special Olympics
Seconds before the official start of 1 PM plunge, when anticipation is transformed into action.
Plunge On!
Yes it was cold but the unbridled dedication of the plungers kept us all warm.
Thanks to all who came and supported this fine event.
